The Bergama Asklepion, founded in the 4th century BC, was a renowned ancient healing center dedicated to Asclepius, the God of Healing. The Sacred Way, a 1 km paved path, leads to the monumental entrance, or Propylon, flanked by a library hall and a Zeus Temple. Inside, the feast courtyard is surrounded by colonnaded galleries and notable structures, including a 3,500-seat theater, a banquet hall, and a circular treatment center.

The Asklepion offered treatments like sleep therapy, water and mud treatments, diet plans, and music therapy. It is the birthplace of Galen of Pergamon, the father of Pharmacy, whose contributions to medicine were groundbreaking. The Asklepion remains a testament to ancient medical practices and architectural ingenuity.
